Job Description:
RLS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Finance Intern to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both accounting and finance practices within a dynamic and supportive environment. The intern will assist with various accounting and financial projects, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and supporting our financial analysis efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Participate in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Contribute to financial audits by providing information and documentation as requested.
- Analyze financial data and create reports on findings.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Perform data entry and maintain financial records with accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects as needed.
- Learn and utilize financial software and systems.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong academic record.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Practical experience with a wide variety of accounting and finance activities.
- Shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with seasoned professionals.
- Opportunity to attend departmental meetings and gain insights into the financial decision-making process.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate coursework and other commitments.
