Job DescriptionAtlantic Health System is seeking a well qualified candidate to join their outpatient rehabilitation team in Cedar Knolls as a full-time Medical Office Associate. Daily responsibilities would include but not limited to the following: Assists patients with appointment scheduling Checks patients in/out in EPIC Transcribes orders Manages referrals Monitors and schedules PT online appointment request portal Runs estimates, collects co-pays and up front balances Addresses EPIC work queues and maintains them in good standing Manages departmental phone lines Monitors appointment reminder system Orders office and clinical supplies as needed Assists patients with problem solving issues related to scheduling, registration, insurance, copays, etc. Provides excellent customer service Completes all AHS and role specific mandatory trainings Assists with insurance responsibilities as needed (depending on site volumes) Maintains proper communication with supervisor and staff, including email correspondence and others in a timely manner Performs other administrative tasks as needed QualificationsRequired: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent experience 2. Prior administrative experience in an outpatient practice strongly preferred 3. Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus Preferred: 1.
