Responsible for execution of applicable EHS management systems which includes the Corporate EHS Directives, ISO 14001 certification and any other applicable EHS management system certifications or elements. Responsible for EHS reporting which includes performance against targets and goals, regulatory reporting, and corporate, business unit and customer required reporting. Manages an EHS training program for applicable EHS training required across the business unit from employee to leader. Coordinates an EHS corrective action program which would include EHS audits, regulatory inspections, industrial accidents, customer EHS audits and other assessments that identify EHS issues that require corrective action with the exception of environmental remediation of property. Coordinates a resource conservation program which will include but not be limited to energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste generated from production. Manages an EHS program for change which includes new processes, equipment, materials and people. Support awareness and integration of EHS into other functional areas such as Lean, Quality, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Sales, Service and Innovation. Leverage existing systems and procedures in those functional areas to the extent possible in EHS management. Supports an EHS culture of excellence for safety and environmental management through effective communication. Manages the EHS aspects of contractors that do work on site. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in health and safety management or related field 3+ years of applicable EHS and people management experience. Applied safety management experience in an industrial work environment. A good working knowledge of EHS regulations. Experience with resource conservation and energy efficiency. Credentials and certifications are strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to influence people at all levels with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience managing change. Ability to comprehend and interpret applicable EHS requirements and translate them into the business language for clear understanding by the business unit leaders and team members. Demonstrated experience with standardization, continuous improvement and project management. WORK AUTHORIZATION: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
