The EHS Director will be responsible for the implementation and management of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives across the organization. This role includes:
- Executing EHS programs and protocols derived from corporate directives to fulfill business unit EHS goals, focusing on safety, regulatory compliance, and resource conservation.
- Overseeing the application of EHS management systems, including compliance with ISO 14001 and other relevant certifications.
- Managing EHS reporting, including performance metrics, regulatory compliance, and necessary corporate reporting.
- Developing and administering a comprehensive EHS training program for all employees, from operational staff to leadership.
- Coordinating corrective action initiatives based on EHS audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Implementing resource conservation strategies, targeting energy efficiency, water usage, and waste management.
- Facilitating change management in EHS practices as new processes, equipment, and materials are introduced.
- Promoting EHS awareness and integration within other business functions such as Quality, Supply Chain, and Human Resources.
- Fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship through effective communication and leadership.
- Managing EHS compliance for contractors operating on-site.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant EHS and personnel management experience.
- Practical experience in safety management within an industrial context.
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in resource conservation and energy management.
- Preferred certifications and credentials in EHS management.
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Experience in managing organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to interpret EHS regulations and convey them in a business-friendly manner.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience with standardization efforts.
This position requires compliance with Export Control regulations; therefore, candidates must meet the definition of a 'US Person' as outlined by applicable laws.
