Schedule can vary per department. $0 Deductible/Low Premium Medical BenefitEmployee Recognition ProgramsJob SummaryThe Cycle Counter is an essential team member responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity by monitoring inventory levels and product movement through a database and hands-on inspection. They investigate inventory discrepancies and participate in correcting the issue(s) that caused them. Downstream processes rely on accurate inventory to keep production moving.Essential FunctionsJob ResponsibilitiesPerform accurate physical inventories, daily cycle counts, random or receipt audits, and reconciliations.Participate in finance-related inventory audits and random counts.Assist in maintaining control of inventory during quality audits and rework projects.Inform Purchasing of floor count discrepancies and parts that do not have stock in the warehouse so the expediting process can begin. Propose and implement solutions to inventory problems to continuously improve system and processes.Coordinate and integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.Operate and safely drive picking equipment on a frequent to occasional basis to assist in audits or material movement. Perform equipment safety checks.Adhere to Company's Quality System requirements.Ensure and follow safety requirements and standards.Keep the work area clean and orderly.Perform all duties in a manner that follows, demonstrates, and promotes Company's company values. Report to work as scheduled, on time, and able to work entire work schedule.Perform special projects as assigned.Perform additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilityAbility to become trained and safely operate warehouse equipment such as order pickers and scissor lifts. Ability to work comfortably and safely on elevated platforms up to 15-20 feet. Possess effective written and oral communication skills.Possess a continuous improvement mindset.Strong organizational skills.Exceptional attention to detail. Basic math skills for inventory related tasks.Ability to prioritize workload and follow instructions.Basic level skills using computer applications (Excel, email, ERP systems).Ability to multi-task and be adaptable and responsive to changing business needs.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.Ability to observe and identify details.Ability to work extended hours as scheduled, including weekends. Physical DemandsFrequent wrist manipulation, walking, standing, and sitting.Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and twisting.Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds.Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.Manual dexterity to move and lift product and packages.Manual dexterity to type and operate office and warehouse equipment frequently.Must be able to complete all physical requirements to perform essential functions.QualificationsExperienceRequired:Experience and proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.Basic level experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, email).Preferred: 2 years of experience with cycle counting and inventory control in a manufacturing environment. Experience working in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.Prior experience safely operating warehouse equipment (powered industrial trucks and scissors lifts).Experience with inventory procedures.Kanban/Lean knowledge and experience.Hand scanner/computer system experience beneficial. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) inventory systems.
