The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing structural calculations on a variety of project types, excluding single family residential. They should be proficient in using software and quick with calculations and project execution. As a key addition to our team, they will play a crucial role in driving our company's growth and must have prior experience managing projects as a structural engineer.

Hard Skills

+ 2-5 years of structural engineering experience

+ Structural engineering degree

+ EIT certification (PE preferred)

+ Experience with steel, concrete, or timber design (WOOD preferred)

+ Experience with seismic design

+ Proficiency in load calculations

+ In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Managing Engineer to develop skills in evaluating, designing, specifying, and developing plans for a project

+ You will perform a variety of tasks which may include assisting with typical projects including development of construction plans, specifications, cost estimate, engineering reports and studies for infrastructure projects.

+ Assist with conducting engineering investigations, feasibility studies, cost, and risk analysis

+ Use of advanced structural analysis / design software and 3D models

+ Perform other duties as assigned by management engineering staff

+ Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time

+ Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather

+ Ability to work quickly and efficiently

+ Team collaboration
