Advanced QA Engineer

ABOUT THIS POSITIONWe are looking for an outstanding, brilliant, and driven Advanced QA Engineer to join our growing team. The Advanced QA Engineer is responsible for testing the company's products to ensure that company standards and specifications are met. Responsibilities include executing test cases, creating and running automated scripts, creating defect reports, and working with Application Engineering to troubleshoot issues. The Advanced QA Engineer will perform some, or all, of the following types of testing: functional, regression, usability, and load/performance. Also, the QA Engineer works closely with the Manager, Application Engineering to ensure that the product is meeting the Waystar quality standards.WHAT YOU'LL DOTakes ownership of project priorities, deadlines, and deliverablesAble to convert complex manual test cases into automated tests, including tests with no existing pattern to followAutomated tests produced demonstrate sophistication of readability/reusability of code, and can employ complex SQL scriptingDevelops, runs, and maintains manual tests and test cases within the software test suite; follows up with leadership to have test plans reviewed and approved, executes tests, & records results and defectsWorks with Application Engineers to reproduce & resolve problems in the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of new or enhanced software features built by Application EngineeringEnsures the quality of Application Engineering releases, and that Application Engineering efforts match their functional requirementsThoroughly understands and follows Application Engineering and QA processes and proceduresWithin scope of assignments, establishes and maintains thorough and accurate documentation of work and communicates technical issues to Application Engineers, QA leadership, Lead Application Engineers, and Managers, Application EngineeringAnalyzes and reproduces problems reported by Client Success; acquires a complete set of relevant data, so that the problem can be accurately characterizedAdditional duties as assignedWHAT YOU'LL NEED2+ years experience with Microsoft Test manager (MTM)2+ years experience writing SQL queries1+ years of experience programming with Microsoft.NETHigh attention to detailAbility to execute recurring tasks with precisionStrong analytical and troubleshooting capabilitiesSelf-motivated and drivenBachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience2+ years experience in a Quality Assurance role is preferredExperience with X12 or Healthcare Revenue Cycle management is preferredExperience with Microsoft SQL Server management Studio (SSMS) is preferredABOUT WAYSTARThrough a smart platform and better experience, Waystar helps providers simplify healthcare payments and yield powerful results throughout the complete revenue cycle.Waystar's healthcare payments platform combines innovative, cloud-based technology, robust data, and unparalleled client support to streamline workflows and improve financials so providers can focus on what matters most: their patients and communities.
