Join Our MissionThe Bilingual Case Aide is responsible for the safe and timely release of youth once their cases have been approved for release.Job ResponsibilitiesRelease all youth within 72 hours of case approval Coordinate with Case Management Team to facilitation of flight arrangements, communication of transportation details, exit packet documentation, and program release from the UAC PortalResponsible for verifying biographical information prior to unification planningPlan reunification collaboratively with the Case Manager and the SponsorCollection of payment for the purpose of flight arrangements, unaccompanied minor fee and/or hotel reservationsCollaborating with a travel agent and/or airlines to reserve flights for youth and staff as neededPreparing Exit Packet for youth, including the collection of identifying documents, medical records, legal resources, educational assessments and youth's possessions in careComplete required documentation as it relates to unificationProcess release of the youth via KCare and the UAC Portal systemsProvide copies of all documentation provided to youth at the time of exit and file in the youth's case fileResponsible for the completion of UAC Portal documentation, and maintenance of UC paper and electronic records as it relates to unification.Communicate with Director of UAC and RTCs to provide staff escorts for unification of youth under 13Collect and distribute Petty Cash as it relates to releasesComplete Safety and Well Being Follow up Calls 30 days after UC releaseResponsible for continued professional development through attendance at in service seminars, participation in conferences and workshops and/or continued study at higher education institutions.Attend all mandatory training as scheduled, including but not limited to New Hire Orientation, Sanctuary, TCI certifications and CPR/First Aid certifications and must complete 40 hours annually of O.R.R (Office of Refugee Resettlement) training. Attend and participate in required supervisory and team meetings.Adheres to agency policies and procedures; follows and supports agency mission, vision and values including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.Perform other duties as assignedJob RequirementsAssociates degree in Psychology, Human Services or other related field. required; Bachelor's Degree or bachelor's in social work preferred.Related experience in Child Welfare and/or case management experience.Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish.Varicella Vaccine required OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from a healthcare provider verifying previous infection.MMR (Measles Mumps & Rubella vaccine required OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases.Tdap (Tetanus-diptheria-pertussis) vaccine required.Influenza vaccine required, one dose annually during flu season.Physical (Medical Exam) required.Must be able to work 9AM-5PM during new hire orientation to complete TCI(Therapeutic Crisis Intervention), CPR and Sanctuary training. Must maintain TCI and CPR certification.Required to be 21 years or older.Must have a current, valid driver's license per Agency guidelines. Travel required.
