Job Description
Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Job Specialty: Rehab Services

Job Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, plus weekend rotation (typically 1 Saturday per month)

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: Previous experience as a Speech Pathologist

License: Valid state license; Valid state driver's license

Certifications: Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), CPR from the American Heart Association

Must-Have:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented

Job Description:
- Assist patients in the restoration or development of swallowing, speech, and communication functions through evaluation and treatment
- Conduct swallowing evaluations and standardized speech/language tests
- Evaluate patients' capabilities, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Complete video swallow studies for inpatients and outpatients
- Provide coverage needs across various departments as required
- Documentation utilizing Epic software
- Participate in an accelerated onboarding process with support from the quality and education coordinator
- Attend Epic training during the first three days of employment
- Collaborate with other speech therapists in the region for peer-to-peer mentoring
- Adhere to the hospital dress code; black scrubs preferred
