Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for supporting the organization throughout the entire revenue cycle process from scheduling and registration through insurance process and final billing.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of insurance and billing processes helping to troubleshoot issues where necessary.
  • Provide support, maintenance, and system configuration for facility structure, charge master, billing, registration, scheduling, reporting, and claims in our EHR systems.
  • Assist with application implementation and system customization including the development of charges, codes, Insurances, and enforcement of adherence to workflows.
  • Work within the I.T. and Informatics Team to support the EHR including, but not limited to, the Revenue Cycle processes.
  • Support end-user revenue cycle training programs.
  • Work ticketing system queue to help resolve issues by training, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions where necessary.
  • Responsible for working with revenue cycle users to define current state workflows and develop future state workflows that meet business needs and that are technically relevant.
  • Responsible for documentation of user incidents and requests, progress against fulfilling incidents and requests, user and technical requirements and system design.
  • Provide first-level contact with end users by phone, email & direct communication.
  • Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating systems and solutions based on revenue cycle user needs.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
  • Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
  • Be engaged by rounding to meet with staff and be involved by attending meetings as necessary representing I.T. with utmost professionalism.
  • Maintain professional & courteous demeanor with staff at all times.
  • Rotating weekly on-call schedule for night and weekend support of EHR and other I.T. systems.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

College degree in the Computer Information Systems or Business field preferred.

Licenses

No professional license required.

Certifications

EPIC Certifications preferred

Experience

3-5 years related experience preferred.

Wage Range :

The pay scale for this position is $26.00 - $31.69
