Technical Sales Manager

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will aggressively pursue and close new business within all targeted technical capabilities. This position ensures the company is professionally and responsibly represented in the industry, identifies market trends, and develops strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop new business within assigned market segments.
- Develop high-value relationships at all levels within new and existing accounts, establishing personal trust and credibility and linking those customer relationships back to internal peers.
- Establishes an identity and broad recognition of CarlisleIT as a technology partner within new accounts.
- Develops and implements strategies and actions to close sales funnel opportunities resulting in new business.
- Gains an understanding of the broader market ecosystem and dynamics to help justify investment in innovative technologies, route to market, marketing investments, and other commercial needs to succeed.
- Leads technical efforts and product roadmap development within growth accounts, working to match internal product management and engineering resources with corresponding resources at the account.
- Consult product management and engineering on new product development opportunities and priorities to address market needs.
- Works to promote growth accounts to strategic accounts in time, developing the account strategies and guiding an indirect support team consisting of Carlisle IT senior managers, product managers, engineers, inside sales, and other colleagues.
- Follows up with customers to ensure CarlisleIT meets or exceeds service level expectations.
- Attends and supports the planning of CarlisleIT's presentation at trade shows and other industry events.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the industry.
- Leads internal training and advocacy of market updates.
- Provides leadership to the Value Stream inside account representatives and account managers.
- Foster an inclusive workplace by actively addressing biases and promoting diversity.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory responsibilities involve overseeing and managing a team or individual to ensure adequate performance and job satisfaction and contribute to individuals' career goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or other relevant course of study or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, engineering, and product management within medical device, interconnect, and technical industries.
- 5+ years of experience in new customer business development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Conversational in any other language is a plus.
- Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of or strong technical aptitude and desire to learn the critical selling points associated with the products, linking those to the accounts' needs.
- High energy, drive, and sense of urgency to meet internal and external customer expectations.
- High learning agility is needed to understand Amphenol CMT's products and business processes.
- Initiative-taking; possess the desire to set and meet high-performance standards based on excellence for the benefit of the customer, team members, and internal customers.
- Ability to lead by influence across cross-functional stakeholders in the organization.
- A collaborator who can relate to people at all levels of the organization and has excellent communication skills with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
- Develops a thorough understanding and works under Amphenol CMT's policies and procedures.
- Has generalized working knowledge of the process and procedures for the sales group's internal customers.
- Working knowledge of financial reports and ratios; understands relationships of margins, inventory turns, costs, and profit & loss.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
As part of their job duties, the employee must sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer. They frequently use their hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. This role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, reaching at or below shoulder level, and keyboarding. This is an air-conditioned work environment where employees have desks or cubicles and work in a fixed location. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
- ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
- Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
- Hearing protection in specific locations.
- Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
SALARY INFORMATION:
According to several states' laws, this position's salary range falls between $125,00 and $150,000 annually. However, this salary information is merely a general guideline. When extending an offer, Amphenol CMT considers various factors such as the position's responsibilities, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, essential skills, internal pay equity, and market considerations.
