Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Manager to lead and oversee the development of our expanding network of pet care centers. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing the construction process from conception to completion, ensuring that all projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of construction management, possess excellent leadership skills, and be able to navigate the unique challenges associated with building and opening corporate veterinary hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.

Coordinate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment with project goals.

Budget Management:

Create and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.

Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide regular budget updates to senior management.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations governing veterinary hospitals and ensure all construction activities adhere to these standards.

Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Contract Negotiation and Management:

Oversee the negotiation and execution of contracts with construction firms, architects, and other service providers.

Manage vendor relationships and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

Site Supervision:

Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, address any issues, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Work closely with construction teams to resolve on-site challenges promptly.

Quality Control:

Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee that construction projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.

Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify any deviations from approved plans.

Communication and Reporting:

Maintain clear and open communication channels with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and resolutions.

Generate comprehensive reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and project milestones.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience in construction project management.

Knowledge of veterinary hospital regulations and requirements.

Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Familiarity with construction software and project management tools.
