Main Purpose
As a Finance Business Partner, you will work with and support our Northeast Operational leaders in reviewing regional business operations. If you enjoy partnering with leadership and want to be hands-on using skills in financial analysis to drive operational success this position is for you
This is a Hybrid position based in our Meriden, CT office. This role will be expected to travel to each of our Northeast facilities approximately once/month: Meriden, CT, Bridgeport, CT, Stoughton, MA, Newington, NH.
Key Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business budgets and accurate forecasts that align with company goals
Conduct in-depth financial analysis of business performance including trends by analyzing current and historical data as well as current financial statements
Identify, define, and assess key performance indicators that would assist in management decision making on areas for improvement or concern
Standard costs definition and calculation
Actively participate in month end closing accounting and analysis
Prepare meaningful monthly reporting for upper management, define dashboards and key indicators according to business conditions
Create financial models to evaluate and assess potential scenarios for business improvement or cost reduction
Monthly analysis of actual financial performance against budget, forecast and prior year; develop strong working relationships with operations and accounting teams in order to provide meaningful explanations for variances and suggest corrective actions
Prepare and analyze operation capital investments working with engineering, sales, and operations managers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required, Master's degree is preferred
8-10 years relevant financial analysis experience; manufacturing experience a plus
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is required
SAP/PowerBI experience a plus
Self-starter willing to learn the business to provide valuable analysis of all aspects of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement including elements of gross margin and operating expenses
Critical thinker with a desire to learn new things, correct root cause issues, and improve processes
Attention to detail with ability to work with large data files
