Main Purpose

As a Finance Business Partner, you will work with and support our Northeast Operational leaders in reviewing regional business operations. If you enjoy partnering with leadership and want to be hands-on using skills in financial analysis to drive operational success this position is for you

This is a Hybrid position based in our Meriden, CT office. This role will be expected to travel to each of our Northeast facilities approximately once/month: Meriden, CT, Bridgeport, CT, Stoughton, MA, Newington, NH.



Key Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business budgets and accurate forecasts that align with company goals
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis of business performance including trends by analyzing current and historical data as well as current financial statements
  • Identify, define, and assess key performance indicators that would assist in management decision making on areas for improvement or concern
  • Standard costs definition and calculation
  • Actively participate in month end closing accounting and analysis
  • Prepare meaningful monthly reporting for upper management, define dashboards and key indicators according to business conditions
  • Create financial models to evaluate and assess potential scenarios for business improvement or cost reduction
  • Monthly analysis of actual financial performance against budget, forecast and prior year; develop strong working relationships with operations and accounting teams in order to provide meaningful explanations for variances and suggest corrective actions
  • Prepare and analyze operation capital investments working with engineering, sales, and operations managers


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required, Master's degree is preferred
  • 8-10 years relevant financial analysis experience; manufacturing experience a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is required
  • SAP/PowerBI experience a plus
  • Self-starter willing to learn the business to provide valuable analysis of all aspects of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement including elements of gross margin and operating expenses
  • Critical thinker with a desire to learn new things, correct root cause issues, and improve processes
  • Attention to detail with ability to work with large data files
