KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a fast growing, mid-sized, Tech/SAAS company in their search for a Senior Revenue Accountant. The Senior Revenue Accountant will take the lead for all operational and technical revenue accounting for the organization. The Senior Revenue Accountant will report to the Head of Revenue.

Compensation includes base, bonus and equity.

The ideal Senior Revenue Accountant is coming directly out of public accounting with strong ASC 606 and revenue experience.

The responsibilities for the Senior Revenue Accountant will include but will not be limited to:

  • Perform accounting associated with software revenue in accordance with GAAP and revenue recognition, ASC 606, guidelines
  • Lead for the month end close process for revenue
  • Oversee the completion of orders, cash, and invoices
  • Daily and monthly journal entries
  • Point person for external audit firm for all revenue related questions
  • Be a resource for sales and accounting when it comes to structuring contracts and deals from a revenue perspective.
  • Provide analysis and reporting as it relates to revenue activities.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Revenue Accountant should have experience that meets the following requirements:

  • Hands on experience with ASC 606 / contract review
  • CPA or MBA a plus but not required
  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
  • Advance Excel and systems skills
