We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Reliability Engineer to join our maintenance team. As a crucial member of our organization, you will play a key role in enhancing plant uptime, optimizing machinery and processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the site.

Responsibilities

Site-wide Oversight:

Manage and optimize reliability across various areas, including the sawmill, planer mill, dry kilns, site services, and mobile equipment.

Data Analysis

Analyze plant downtime, quality, safety, and financial data to identify areas for improvement in collaboration with maintenance and operations teams.

Failure Investigations And Redesign

Conduct and coordinate failure investigations, analyzing mechanisms and implementing solutions to enhance reliability, quality, safety, and financial performance.

Redesign machinery and processes to improve plant reliability and reduce operating costs.

Supervision And Program Management

Directly supervise Reliability Technicians, implementing best practices for lubrication, maintenance programs, and overseeing hydraulic and compressor programs.

Manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, infrared, oil analysis, and precision alignment.

Best Maintenance Practices

Champion the adoption of Best Maintenance Practices from the resource library in the internal intranet.

Computerized Maintenance Management

Utilize the mill's computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) for managing all maintenance activities within the scope of the position.

Efficiency Improvement

Identify opportunities across the site to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste.

Additional Duties

Coordinate and manage services from OEM representatives and third parties to enhance equipment reliability, life cycles, and costs.

Benchmark performance and best practices at other facilities.

Communicate reliability activities and results to all departments, including senior management.

Develop a detailed understanding of machinery functions through a hands-on approach.

Project management.

Qualifications

Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar Engineering Degree. Candidates without a degree will be considered with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience.

2 to 5 years of relevant experience with industrial manufacturing equipment.
