This position is located in the Short Hills, NJ office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The Paralegal Team performs a wide range of substantive case, matter and entity related duties by supporting our attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, and vendors.

In this role you will assists the paralegals and/or attorneys by maintaining case files, preparing documents for production, organizing and maintaining case or other files, updating and maintaining databases, preparing closing books, obtaining information for internal and external sources and performing other administrative tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • One year demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge in MS Word and Excel
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Office experience in a law firm environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with paralegals, attorneys and clients on a regular basis
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail
What will your day look like?
Your responsibilities will include assisting attorneys and paralegals in maintaining case files and creating and updating databases and web-rooms. You will also conduct research and analyze data from a variety of sources for incorporation into briefs and drafting summary reports. Additional duties include compiling documents in support of briefs and witness interviews, organizing document productions, and preparing detailed indices for attorney review. Finally, you may assist with projects that use litigation software, including: Relativity, Concordance, and CaseMap.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
