The Financial Support Coordinator provides client service and financial administrative support to manage clients participating in the Representative Payee Program. This Financial Services Coordinator will provide financial stability and growth to approximately 30 participants by assisting them with basic financial tasks, including paying bills, tracking expenditures, budgeting, and other similar services. The Financial Service Coordinator will interact with clients on a regular basis, mostly through virtual or phone meetings. The Financial Services Coordinator will also be responsible for program compliance and coordination and other organizational financial duties as assigned and will be part of a cohesive Finance team.

Primary Responsibilities Responsible for ongoing monitoring and monthly reconciliation of all activities for Rep Payee client accounts Learn and operate accounting software to track one-time and recurring expenditures (rent, utilities, phone payments, etc), initiate and review debit card expenditures, submit check and payment requests, and provide reporting as requested Meet virtually with Representative Payee clients and their program counselor at least quarterly, and monthly as needed to assist with creating budgets, reviewing expenses, and providing feedback to support money management skill building support Participate in regular staff consultation staffings with primary counselors to provide feedback on client progress, obtain information about changing needs, and contribute to IATP (integrated assessment and treatment plan) Create and adjust monthly budgets with input from client, and provide copy of budget to primary counselor Review patterns in use for debit card expenditures Answer questions from program staff about the Representative Payee process Explain Rep Payee program and answer questions for interested clients, client guardians and family members, and other interested parties Primary contact for Social Security Administration (SSA) and Veterans Affairs (VA) Fiduciary Department Accept referrals from IMH and Transition staff and coordinate regarding KYC application to become Payee Assist clients moving into Rep Payee program to setup new monitoring email addresses, new Comed/utility accounts, KYC debit cards, direct deposit from SSA/VA Assist clients moving off Rep Payee program to return benefits and accounts Provide information and coordinate with finance department to complete annual reporting to SSA and VA, and interim reporting as requested Document administrative activities and billable Rule 132/140 Medicaid services Monitor KYC mail at least twice weekly for SSA letters for payee clients General administrative support for fiscal compliance including copying, scanning, filing, mailing, returning phone calls, directing resources, & data entry Gather and submit billing information for provider and individual participants for Homebase program Collaborate with staff to maintain tailored budgets for clients of No-Income programs, establish efficient systems for tracking and paying incoming bills Support financial team with administrative tasks, including assistance with financial paperwork and documentation Performs all other duties assigned by the supervisor Education and Experience

Associate’s Degree with at-least 2 years relevant work experience in finance, accounting or a related field; Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business administration or a related field provides a strong foundation for the role. Computer proficiency, including knowledge of Word, Excel and Internet skills Minimum 21 years of age Demonstrate adaptability and sensitivity when communicating with individuals facing various challenges, including disabilities and emotional distress Communicate with customers in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed Preferred experience in data entry and/or financial management Kenneth Young Center offers a robust benefit package that is highly competitive to the market and offers all full-time employees the following:
