Afinitas is a part of BW Forsyth Partners, LLC, the investment arm of Barry-Wehmiller, a $3 billion organization with nearly 12,000 team members united by a common belief: to use the power of business to build a better world.Job Description:Salary: $54,912/yearEssential Functions & Responsibilities: Responsible for the programing and production of the Robotic Welding system, ensuring production procedures are carried out smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits. Program robotic welders, maintain the expected production rates and perform maintenance related work in the manufacturing and production process of reinforcing mats. Utilize pendant menus and displays for entry of welding routines, program commands and weld data. Work with controller power supply, main CPU, Aux control board, amplifier I/O board operation panel. Setup and operate robotic welders in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Adjust machine setting to complete tasks according to specifications and production demands. Operate light, medium and heavy equipment including forklift. Place steel reinforcing in jigs in the production process of items. Tear down and set up of equipment and jigs related to production of rebar items. Operate various hand-operated tools related to steel fabrication. Maintain equipment and perform daily inspections of equipment. Support all aspects of a safe working environment by following organizational policies, processes, procedures, and OSHA requirements.Qualifications:Requires high school diploma, or foreign degree equivalent; and 10 years of experience with programable welding systems. Must also have the following skills and knowledge: possess basic mathematics skills and ability to read a measuring tape; ability to program and working knowledge of the IPG Genesis System; ability to teach pendant menus and displays for entry of welding routines, program commands and weld data; working knowledge of controller power supply, main CPU, Aux control board, amplifier I/O board operation panel; and working knowledge of robot cable diagram interconnections, encoders, motors, break releases, mastering SPC reset, master count, and TCP set-up. Must have the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently; push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force; and perform work standing for eight-ten hours per day, up to six days per week. Must also have a Forklift Certification.WORK ENVIRONMENTWorks in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals.
