The team is made up professionals that have a wide variety of backgrounds, including corporate law, tax law and tax accounting, investment banking and general industry – as well as graduates from a variety of disciplines.
With offices in NYC (HQ), Boston, DC, Houston, LA, Miami, and Toronto, we work with leading private equity funds, real estate funds, hedge funds and corporates across North America. Our 4 main product lines are (i) RWI (ii) Tax (iii) Structured Solutions and (iv) Credit; our expertise covers the design of a range of bespoke policies and their successful placement to support M&A and other complex transactions (restructurings, liquidations, tax structuring etc.). Our deal size is varied but ranges from $20m - $12bn.
Background:
We are seeking personable and ambitious individuals to assist in growing our Chicago as a Senior Analyst/Analyst.
Role will require an entrepreneurial approach, a willingness to use initiative, hunger for knowledge and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Neither insurance nor M&A knowledge is required and will be provided as part of your development.
With access to, and support from the dedicated training function and the wider team’s extensive skill set, the successful candidate will
Learn about the M&A insurance market and the risks assumed by the insurance market;
Understand and learn the unique firmwide approach to broking which has underpinned our growth across North America;
Learn how to access the insurance market, secure pricing and present terms to clients in detailed reports;
Engage with clients and in time run transaction processes from an insurance perspective; and
Engage and work together with our specialist teams as required.
Required skills:
Degree educated;
A determination and willingness to learn about legal concepts and the M&A market;
Ability to work well as part of an open and collaborative team;
Analytical, with an attention to detail; and
Articulate, personable and willing to, in time, meet clients/prospective clients and their advisors to explain our offering.
