Position Summary:As a member of the healthcare team, the clinical dietitian coordinates the nutrition care of the patient and provides clinical nutrition guidance in accordance with physician orders and evidence based guidelines. Conducts nutrition assessments as triggered under mandatory nursing 24 hour admission assessments or at any time during patient admission. Develops appropriate plan of care and communicates with the multidisciplinary team verbally and/or electronically. Conducts reassessments based on nutritional risk assigned and/or change in patient condition or needs. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the patients and interpret guidelines to meet age specific needs. Effectively interacts with peers, managers, and other team members and maintains confidentiality as related to job duties. Requirements:High School Diploma/GEDArizona Registered Dietitian license in good standing Bachelors Degree with completion of a dietetic internship Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or Registered Dietitian Eligible pending examination.Preferred:1-3 years hospital experience Masters DegreeCertified Diabetes Educator Benefits Offered:We have many plans with various deductibles, which can cover individuals or families, so you can customize a plan that will work for you Steward Health Care works with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts to provide affordable health insurance for our employees in benefit eligible positions.
