Adelante Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced WIC Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our team. As a key member of our nutrition services team, you will be responsible for promoting, training, and providing nutrition education to clients enrolled in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and other nutrition-related programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nutrition education, breastfeeding services, and health promotion to clients and staff
  • Develop educational guidelines for nutrition, breastfeeding, and preventive health promotion services
  • Document assessment information, food package assignments, nutrition, and breastfeeding consultations and referrals
  • Oversee and approve food and formula special authorizations and coordinate with medical providers and pharmacies as needed
  • Educate staff on nutrition education guidelines
  • Certify participants according to program guidelines
  • Assist the Nutrition Services Program Manager as requested and complete reports as required
Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree in Dietetics or a nutrition-related field
  • Two years of experience in community or clinical nutrition education programs or completion of a dietetic internship with RD/RDN credentials
  • Certification to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross
  • Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locations
  • Documented excellence in customer service with the ability to interact with and instruct employees and clients from beginner to advanced levels
  • Demonstrated competency in nutrition education methods and techniques
  • Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications and relevant program-related applications
  • Competency in working with people of various cultures
  • Evidence of valid Arizona driver's license and current auto insurance
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Prioritization and multi-task skills are required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
