Job Responsibilities: Provides oversight to scientific operations of Cytogenetics laboratory. Performs interpretive review of patient results, including generation of draft final reports. Works with laboratory leadership team to implement new Cytogenetics methodologies and tests. Collaborates with pathology and physician teams to guide patient case management. Serves as Cytogenetics subject matter expert within system level steering committees. Generates and reviews laboratory policy and procedure in compliance with system and regulatory bodies. Develops training and competency protocols for Cytogenetics laboratory in collaboration with leadership team. Performs and provides leadership review of Cytogenetics laboratory Quality Management System. Provide consultation to clients of the Cytogenetics Laboratory Job Requirements: Ph.D. in biological, chemical, or related scientific field. ABMGG board certified or eligible to sit for board certification. Board eligible candidates must provide supporting documentation of eligibility and complete ABMGG certification within 1 year of hire.
