Summary:

Island Creek Associates, a professional services firm, is currently seeking a Project Engineer at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide assistance and technical support in the identification, development, and preparation of Facilities Sustainment, and Restoration and Modernization (FSRM), Non-Appropriated Finds (NAF), customer-funded programs, and Military Construction (MILCON) projects. Perform all required Enterprise Business System (EBS) data entry for assigned projects, as required. Conduct NEXGEN IT, Comprehensive Planning Platform (CPP) and SMS data entry, data quality assurance, and data quality control in support of 21 CES. Work with customers to define project requirements, prepare cost estimates, draft DD Form 1391s, and other components of the acquisition package for government approval and submission. Program 2-3 projects per month, coordinate with other governmental personnel - as necessary - to define project requirements, ensure compliance with Federal, State, local, and Air/Space Force regulations. Assess applicable cost basis, and investigate applicable recent, relevant project data that could serve to improve fidelity of the cost estimate. Required Education:

BA/BS Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or other relevant technical discipline with five (5) years of experience.

Required Experience:

Five (5) years of experience as a facility design engineer or construction project manager, or five (5) years' experience in DoD project programming and development of programming documents. Must have experience performing the duties and responsibilities listed above.

Desired Experience:

Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and analytical techniques to support complex engineering assignments relating to civil engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, electrical, and architecture) and the ability to follow established project related procedures and complete established project milestones. Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Contractor is required to be on-site at PSFB during normal operating hours (business days) 0730 - 1630. Work shall consist of 40-hour workweeks, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays and down days.

Travel:

No travel is required for this position.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

This position is subject to a criminal history background check and Wants/Warrants check. Ideal candidates will currently have installation access to Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), however, candidates with US Citizenship or non-U.S. citizens with a Work Permit Visa, Passport, or Alien Registration Card with immigration number will be considered. Must be able to receive a Government Common Access Card (CAC), access Government systems, and pass a criminal history background check and Wants/Warrants check.
