Develops marketing communications, advertising, or publicity materials with a moderate level of guidance from others. Develops, plans, and coordinates the development and production of marketing and publicity materials and campaigns, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Performs one or more of the following marketing functions: marketing communications/advertising; Web blogs or digital marketing; market research; development or review and update of the marketing infrastructure and management of external sales agency relationships. Performs other related work as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience: Experience planning and executing conferences, trade shows and other marketing events. Knowledge of digital marketing processes and tools. Knowledge of market research processes and tools. Knowledge of media relations and the press release distribution process. Technical Skills or Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience with automated communications platforms; Mailchimp strongly preferred. Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter/X. Working knowledge of Google Documents, Sheets and Slides. Familiarity with Adobe Design Suite strongly preferred. Preferred Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and constant attention to detail. Effectively prioritize, triage, and manage competing priorities and deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Work in a collaborative team environment. Ability to work both independently and as a team member. Receptive to feedback, willing to learn and embrace continuous improvement. Ability to work discreetly with sensitive and confidential data. Working Conditions This job requires occasional evening or weekend hours. Position available for hybrid work with in-person meetings required, Chicago area candidate preferred.
