This skilled benefits specialist will join the HR team and will administrate employee benefit programs, ensuring that employees understand how their benefits work, enrolling participants and explaining health insurance options, performing quality checks of benefits-related data and invoice reconciliations. Assists employees with benefits claim issues and plan entitlements. Distributes benefit enrollment materials and tracks eligibility. Enrolls employees with carriers and processes various insurance and unemployment claims. Responsibilities

Support the daily administration of company benefit programs Counsel employees in matters of group insurance, retirement, and other benefits Process and maintain confidential personnel records Collaborate with consultants, brokers, and other team members to understand and ensure appropriate program and vendor performance Update benefits-related information as-needed on internal web pages (intranet, HRIS, etc.) Test systems and interfaces, perform reconciliations, run reports, and conduct analyses for ongoing processes and special projects Assist with the implementation of new personnel policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvements to existing ones Perform special assignments, prepare compliance and personnel reports, and respond to state requests Track leave of absence requests Participate in the annual benefit enrollment period to include set up and testing, project management, and communication Qualifications

3 years of employee benefit experience, preferably in a corporate environment Degree in Human Resources, business, or related field or equivalent experience preferred Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic company A demonstrated use of sound judgment and prioritization skills with a passion for learning new programs Self-directed, proactive, innovative Basic knowledge of pertinent regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits Experience managing confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and creative problem-solving skills. Advance experience with Excel (VLookup, formulas, pivot tables etc)
