POSITION DESCRIPTION

:
Reporting to the Technology Officer, the Project Management Officer (PMO) will provide leadership, direction, and coordination of all activities for the Banks Project Management Process which will ensure that all

projects/initiatives

are developed and conducted in line with Bank standards. The PMO will prioritize and properly allocate and align resources to meet key project deliverables and timelines. This position is charged with meeting timelines and budgetary of each

project/initiative,

through collaboration, concise communication, and servant leadership. Also, the PMO must provide annual staffing and resources needs and annual budget considerations. Further, the PMO will deliver periodic updates on progress to Leadership Team, highlighting successes and deficiencies along with solutions to achieve positive workflow. At the conclusions of project and initiatives, the PMO will work with Business Intelligence to track KPIs and other methods to measure effectiveness.
The PMO will serve in a direct/indirect supervisory role, providing feedback, coaching, instruction, and discipline for staff under their supervision as it relates to Project Management and the tasks associated with running an effective project management program. The Project Management Officer is responsible for direct management of Business Analysts and the Facilities. This individual demonstrates a thorough understanding of project management methodologies, possesses expertise in capital planning, expense tracking and budget adherence, scheduling, cost control as well as the ability to execute and interact with business partners and cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved as well as managing the day to day and strategic facilities plan for the Bank.
Responsibilities:
Lead efforts, in conjunction with Leadership Team, IT Steering and Innovation Committees to prioritize approved projects and ensure bank wide resources are allocated appropriately to support each project timeline.
Develop and lead implementation in Agile project management methodology when appropriate, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness surrounding the Banks development lifecycle.
Create a Project Management Framework that is effective for the Bank. Once established, enforce discipline and adherence to the process and framework.
Lead cross-functional teams in the design, prioritization, and implementation of solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders in Operations, Retail, Lending, and support group functions to design and execute organizational and process improvements.
Optimize core business processes, introduce innovative ideas, and foster operational excellence across the organization.
Partner with the management team to align technology and solutions with overall business strategy to facilitate execution of the Strategic Plan.
Develop and implement systems and process improvements.
Ensure a reasonable return on investment (ROI) and cost benefit analysis (CBA) and other required analysis for

projects/prospective

technology / solution acquisitions are part of every project. Ensure project charters are fully completed before commencement.
Initiate a post implementation review to assess if the project met the desired KPIs or other success measures. If not identifying learning opportunities from the project/ initiative to be retained and disseminated to the Bank through the project development life cycle process.
Drive effective, collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across all functional business areas. Serve as the client advocate by ensuring implemented business solutions meet the needs of the organization.
Develop common PMO processes, tools, and project governance to be leveraged on most projects.
Drive knowledge/best practice sharing and collaboration across the Bank.
Identify project risks in advance of them pushing projects off-track and develop risk mitigating strategies.
Provide Manager and Leadership and key stakeholders with regular communications regarding project status, outstanding risks, issues, any necessary change controls, and next steps.
Develop executive level briefing material and associated analytics to guide and steer decision making.
Interview, hire, coach, train and develop staff. This includes employee development, stay interviews, staff evaluations, and performance management of assigned staff.
Ensure that all project team members understand project goals and objectives, current project plans and schedules, critical path activities, and activities that may become critical path activities.
Secure alignment between project strategy and tactical execution.
Help stakeholders turn ideas into solutions that leverage technology to differentiate us from our competitors.
Ensure that project outcomes are in line with GSBs strategic goals and the Strategic Action Plan.
Manage projects end-to-end, working with business subject matter experts.
Track Project Metrics including cost benefit and resources for projects managed.
Strategic team building and cross training to support current and future goals is essential, while ensuring the consistent delivery of best-in-class service that is aligned with Customer expectations and Bank objectives.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

FUNCTIONS SUPERVISED:

Project Management processes for the Bank and Facilities planning and day to day facility operations and assists in the oversight and management of Facilities Management third party vendors in the capacity of either contract owner or relationship owner.
LIST OF POSITIONS SUPERVISED:

Senior Business Analyst(s), Business Analyst(s), Facilities.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business, IT, finance, or accounting; MBA preferred. PMP Certification, Lean Six Sigma awareness (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

8-10 years Banking experience with 3-5 years experience managing teams of 3-4 direct or indirectly in a cross functional matrix environment or similar or related experience.
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Has direct managerial responsibility for a small group of employees (generally less than 5) and functional managerial responsibility of more than one group of employees with diversified functions. Policies and practices may be implemented through subordinate supervisor or functional leads.
