**About the role...** Reporting into the Associate Director of Sales, you will be responsible for scaling our life insurance sales business as part of an exceptional Sales leadership team. This Senior Manager of Sales role will lead a large (50+ frontline agents), multi-tiered sales team (team leads and managers) with accountability for performance, reporting, developing strong leaders, and building processes that grow as we do. You should be an experienced sales leader who can motivate and coach our existing sales team leads and managers and develop them as leaders. You can operate at both the strategic and tactical level, and know when to toggle between the two. Youve got both a sales mindset and an intuitive feel for optimal sales processes and quality performance. Above all, your contagious passion for sales stems from helping the customers and the company to succeed. **In this role, you will** * Able to identify and grow current and future front line leaders from senior associates into managers * Working with the Associate Director of Sales, develop sales team SLAs, and daily, weekly, and monthly targets. Drive execution to achieve SLAs * Own all aspects of people leadership and success in the inside sales org: recruiting, onboarding/training/continuing ed, licensing, career development, team structuring * Work with senior leaders on compensation structure, fun competitions and adhoc incentives to drive business on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis * Capable of coaching front line of associates, conducting skip levels and diving into the day to business to understand where performance management is needed * Proactively identify and problem-solve issues related to lead conversion, lead quality, team capacity and service levels * Provide timely and accurate executive-level reports of sales performance and forecasts of org needs * Create a values-oriented team environment that rewards achievement, accountability and teamwork * Working collaboratively with other operations leaders at the Associate Director+ level to continue to optimize Operations at Policygenius **Wed love to hear from you if** * You have a proven track record of individual sales achievement and sales team leadership; minimum 3 years of senior-level sales experience, with 2+ years of multi-level leadership experience including managing frontline leaders * You understand the importance of data in sales - you know how to stand up a dashboard, are able to break down the data and synthesize it to draw conclusions to problems youre looking to solve * Youve managed managers and are capable of leading from the front. You can look at the big picture but are capable of diving deep into the trenches to understand the minutiae of front line sales associates day to day activities. * Strong sales mindset and client problem-solving orientation * Ability to nimbly manage competing priorities while wearing multiple hats -- comfortable building the plane and flying it at the same time * Work within ambiguity and find areas of opportunity to improve business revenue or efficiencies without direction from management * Ability to think critically through unique problems with no set playbook and quickly implement a path to the solution * Understanding of the market and competitive landscape in which the company operates and ability to use that to shape sales scripts and training * Skilled at building trust with direct reports, peers and leadership
