This person will have the opportunity to master the accounting aspect for Alere and the properties as well as being exposed to the leasing, acquisitions and the development processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in drafting monthly, quarterly and annual external financial statements as well as supplementary schedules Assist in the preparation of monthly internal reports Lender covenant reporting Master the controls and maintenance over the MRI accounting system, become a power user Perform corporate monthly journal entries Perform month end GL and bank reconciliations Assist with the year-end audit and financials Report and communicate with 3 rd

party lenders and vendors Review of monthly property reports received from our 3 rd

party property management group Assist in preparation of the annual corporate G&A budget Meets the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality of sensitive information Work with other departments on an on-going basis to learn the business as a whole Qualifications/Requirements: Education: Four-year college degree in accounting/finance or other related area CPA is highly preferred Knowledge and Experience: The highest level of integrity & professionalism and an “ownership” mentality 3-5 years of experience in public/private mix in accounting in private equity and/or real estate Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Demonstrated excellence in time management and ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and meet deadlines Familiarity with investment fund/real estate accounting and fair value reporting preferred; exposure to MRI accounting system a plus Demonstrated excellence in time management and the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables to meet established deadlines Able to address work in a flexible way and remain open to direction from supervisors Exceptional Excel skills required MRI experience is a plus Argus knowledge is a plus, but not required This position is based in Newport Beach, CA and is in office full-time. Title and pay will be commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive compensation package including flexible time-off, medical/dental, and 401K.
