Works with more senior accountants to participate as team member in major financial systems projects such as upgrades to GSA’s financial systems to plan, develop, and coordinate financial management improvements necessary to comply with current and impending legislation and regulations. Assists in implementing other initiatives throughout GSA, to assess, measure, and improve customer satisfaction with systems performance and the quality of financial systems information. GS-09 Participates in planning and implementing various financial systems development projects following structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) steps, such as project planning, requirements gathering, and testing. Participates in planning, developing, and coordinating financial management improvements necessary to comply with current and impending legislation and regulations. Assists in implementing other initiatives throughout GSA, to assess, measure, and improve customer satisfaction with systems performance and the quality of financial systems information. GS-11 Plans and implements various financial systems development projects following structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) steps, such as project planning, requirements gathering, and testing. Plans, develops, and coordinates financial management improvements necessary to comply with current and impending legislation and regulations. Participates in planning and performing studies, surveys and reviews of GSA financial management systems including the core accounting system, to identify opportunities for financial improvement. have completed at least one full year of graduate level education (18 semester hours or the equivalent) in accounting and/or auditing, or in a related field such as business administration, finance or public administration. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR THE GS-09 GRADE LEVEL: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

is experience developing automated accounting procedures for routine records and analyzing financial and statistical data

2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master’s degree or master’s or equivalent graduate degree. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR THE GS-11 GRADE LEVEL: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

is experience that demonstrates knowledge of the structure of private and public ledger accounts and the relationship between accounts; and experience providing advice on financial data to management. OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
