The Senior Consultant is responsible for providing various tasks and services regarding work related to processing financial management and fund disbursement activities including processes, procedures, payment, reconciliation, and reporting for various projects related to private funds, Qualified Settlement Funds (QSF), and funds issued by federal, state, and local governments in support of related firm initiatives. The Senior Consultant will also perform various assigned tasks related to client engagements, services, and projects in support of department initiatives and strategies.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:
  • Ensures that the scope of work is completed to the satisfaction of the client and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that quality, financial, risk management, business and policy expectations are met.

  • Completes, analyzes and reports on project goals and objectives while ensuring proper time management and productivity.

  • Communicates and works on a variety of assignments potentially including progress and status, scope, schedule, and budget as well as progress of deliverables, client reviews, technical input, and comment resolution.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable policies and procedures, laws and regulations, and keeps current on compliance-related areas.

  • Reviews, documents, and creates reports relevant to financial processes and transactions.

  • Prepares relevant internal & external reports including reconciliation and resolution of related financial reporting issues.

  • Creates and maintains financial records and relevant reports in accordance with project compliance requirements.

  • Maintains accounting and program internal controls; documents and escalates any findings and makes recommendations for improvements, as needed.

  • Performs research for technical accounting issues as appropriate; formulates resolution of issues identified through the research process.

  • Performs quality control review of funds disbursement activities. Communicates with supervisor any obstacles or items of concern.

  • Documents procedures performed, findings and/or other issues and drafts/compiles work papers, reports and client correspondence exhibiting effective writing skills.

  • Maintains required CPE hours for firm and licensing standards.

  • Complies with the professional and Firm requirements (e.g., employee handbook requirements, time entry procedures, audit quality control document requirements, etc.) including complying with confidentiality requirements (e.g., client information, proposal information, personnel information, job-related information, etc.).

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related field is required.

  • 3+ years of related experience is preferred.

  • Technically proficient with the capability of performing at an intermediate or advanced level with software tools including, but not limited to, the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other software programs such as Adobe, along with technologies for scheduling, travel and expense reporting and timekeeping.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • Able to work at client site in Baton Rouge LA at a minimum of 3 days a week.

  • Ability to work efficiently and with quality with adherence to multiple weekly deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to professionally and appropriately communicate with a diverse group of individuals.

  • Commit to working with one large client for an extended duration.

  • Able to work within a diverse team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills.

Other Duties:

  • Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external parties. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional and cooperative manner.
  • Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, and work processes. Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • May assist co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service and demonstrating team work skills. Actively supports teamwork throughout the organization.
  • Perform other services as assigned.

Other Considerations:

  • May periodically travel and work from different company locations.
  • May be required to work overtime, and/or on weekends as needed.
  • Must arrive at EisnerAmper offices or client locations in a timely manner and be ready to perform job responsibilities.
