Job Title: Lead, Project Engineering Job Code: 11908 Job Location: Alpharetta, GA Job Description: + Responsible for successfully leading a project team to meet business requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments in a growing business area. + Develop, oversee, and coordinate the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing engineering projects within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and stakeholders. + Reviews status of engineering projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. + Assesses engineering issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. + Identifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and dispositions program-level risks. + Develops, monitors, and statuses detailed MS Project schedules. + Uses Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reports to manage project performance. + Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product. + Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. Essential Functions: + Experience with design and development of electronics or displays for military avionics. + Interface with Engineering Group Leaders and Managers, as well as Program Management, Capture Management, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. + Experience with best practices for project engineering, EVMS, and program execution. + Experience in complex, multi-discipline programs including but not limited to optical, mechanical, electrical, systems, software, and thermal engineering with a background in Avionics. + Experience in software development and integration programs. + Experience managing projects with budgets of $10M+. + Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management. + Ability to implement and adapt project execution plans that will achieve technical, cost, and schedule requirements. + Ability to present to internal and external customers at all levels. Preferred Additional Skills: + Experience leading Government Contract development programs preferred. + Experience or knowledge of Government contract acquisition lifecycle a plus. + Experience with management of design to cost activities a plus. + Experience with program pursuit and proposal activities. + Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques. + Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, etc. + Experience leading a multi-disciplined team of engineers.
