Umialik Insurance Company, a member of the Western National Insurance Group, is seeking a Commercial Lines Audit Associate to join our team
The individual in this role will have the opportunity to review audits returned from our vendors for final approval.
What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role?
Orders and reviews premium audits to ensure proper assignment of classifications and exposure estimates.
Ensures adequate information is provided and processes audit.
Fosters positive and professional relationships with staff, policyholders, agency partners, and vendors.
Identifies and recommends changes to processes that improve service to internal and external customers.
Determines whether information collected and reported by auditors is acceptable.
Decides which audits to forward to the underwriting team for review and which to forward for processing.
Determines whether data is within defined parameters.
Strong communication with third-party audit vendors, partnering agencies / agents, and internal staff.
Consistently acts according to our customer experience standards, including responding quickly, maintaining a positive attitude, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing the customer’s expectations, using the proper communication channel for the situation, and taking ownership to ensure the customer’s issue is resolved.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate?
· Commercial insurance work experience.
· Solid understanding of commercial lines rating methodology, products, and coverage.
· Proven ability to work effectively with others.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Proven ability to handle multiple priorities.
· Strong attention to detail and mathematical aptitude.
· Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages.
Compensation overview
The full hiring range for this role is $23.42 - $32.77, per hour. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and / or may be considered for other positions.
