Summary

Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, the intern custodian cleans and maintains the school building and grounds, sets up equipment for special events, and assists school personnel with work requests.

Description

Davis School District is now accepting applications for the full-time

General Custodian - Intern training program (entry level).

Announcement is open to all applicants. If you are interested in this position, please apply as soon as possible. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

8 hours per day/257 days per year/Grade 5 $17.28 per hour (Support Salary Table 2023-2024)

[Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase for a promotion]

GENERAL FUNCTION:Under the supervision of the custodial coordinators, and the custodial intern instructor, the Intern custodian cleans and maintains the school buildings and grounds, sets up equipment for special events, and assists school personnel with work projects, receives classroom instruction and substitutes for head and assistant head custodians.

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

1.Ability to read and write and perform basic mathematical calculations.

2.Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation procedures.

3.One to two years custodial experience preferred.

4.Some management experience preferred.

5.Ability to interact effectively and appropriately with students and staff.
