Job Summary

The Peer Support Recruiter develops and executes recruiting strategies specific to hiring Peer Support Specialists (PSS) for the field of behavioral health AND/OR substance use disorders. Peer support specialists are individuals who have lived experience with mental health issues or substance use disorder(s) and also have a minimum of one year of recovery. The Peer Support Recruiter will create a pipeline of applicants by creating professional relationships with community stakeholders and attending community-based career and hiring events. The Peer Support Recruiter will prioritize placement of incoming peer workforce based on staffing needs in conjunction with program leadership/management. The Peer Support Recruiter will work closely with CBI marketing initiatives to promote CBIs commitment to the peer employee through in-person, virtual and digital platforms.


Skills/Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree (or higher) in the field of Human Resources Management, Marketing, Business Administration or Healthcare preferred.
  • 1-2 years of full cycle recruiting experience preferred.
  • Must be in recovery from Alcohol or Drugs and/or GMH for equal to or greater than one (1) consecutive year.
  • Experienced in managing applicant databases preferred.
  • Experienced in applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Experienced in candidate sourcing solutions preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable computer applications preferred.
