Job Description

Job Description

  • Receive and process material orders daily, including accepting deliveries, labeling them, and distributing packages. (Material Handler)
  • Coordinate deliveries to customers and clients daily, including boxing goods, addressing packages, and staying in contact with shipping companies.
  • Maintain the company stockroom by leaning, organizing, and labeling items in storage on a regular basis.
  • Keep records of goods that have been shipped and received, preparing regular shipping, and receiving reports for supervisors.
  • Schedule large shipments and coordinate logistics to ensure that there is enough storage space for incoming items and personnel on hand to manage incoming shipments.
  • Perform customer service duties as necessary, maintaining good relationships with shipping companies and clients who are receiving goods.
  • Ensure that proper procedures are followed when handling fragile and heavy products.
  • Update the drivers notes and shipping list as information is received.
  • Will be responsible for food safety activities.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
  • Basic understanding of railway, dock, and warehouse procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
  • Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices.
