The anticipated hiring range for this position is $60,500 to $63,000 per year.Hiring offers will be determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience.The recruiter can share more information about what the anticipated hiring salary would be based upon your specific qualifications during the selection process.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Advancement Manager plays a key role in generating revenue and supporting the strategic operations of the Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office.This position is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, year-round fundraising strategy for the CIA's Annual Fund while ensuring the seamless administration and stewardship of the scholarship program.
In this role, the Manager will collaborate on creating and refining goals, strategies, and annual solicitation efforts designed to expand and engage our donor base, while also supporting broader advancement initiatives.The Manager will also lead all annual giving efforts, including managing the college's Spring and Fall appeals, faculty and staff campaigns, and other donor outreach.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifies and qualifies prospective donors using best practices for matching donor interest with institutional priorities with a particular focus on annual operating support.
- Manages all donor relationships for the Faculty and Staff in-kind donations.
- Manages the progress toward achieving fundraising goals and manages revenue lines for all annual giving initiatives, including reporting progress toward goals and outcomes to the Advancement team.
- Develops, implements and tracks all direct mail solicitations for alumni, parents, corporations, organizations, and friends.
- Oversees all annual giving communications, including writing, editing, and production oversight related to direct mail, email, phone, social media fundraising, and giving days.
- Coordinates the annual faculty/staff fundraising campaign, including project planning, solicitation communications, and the overall organization of the campaign.
- Collaborates with the Advancement Officer for Alumni Affairs to increase alumni engagement opportunities and giving.
- Supports the Advancement Officer for Scholarships with stewardship assistance; edits thank you letters to donors and sends out graduation invites.
- Supports the Advancement Officer for Individual Giving with administrative support for the Society of Fellows, including renewal letters, sending welcome packets, program support, cultivation of new donors and updating the website and member roster.
- Attends, assists, and supports a variety of events throughout the year, including, but not limited to, Alumni Weekend, Leadership Awards, regional events, donor recognition celebrations, etc.
- Prepares reports as directed by the Senior Advancement Officer.
- Assists in overall operations of the Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office, including learning the monthly closing procedure for corporate relations.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Education:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in fundraising, communications, business, finance, or a related field, or an associate's degree and significant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience, in fundraising, sales, business development or higher education or a related field.
- Higher education or foodservice industry work experience.
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising.
- Previous annual fund/alumni relations, sales or marketing experience in a university setting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are required. Must have demonstrated ability in organizational, time management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment and maintain collaborative relationships with all members of the team.
- High level of energy and self-motivation.
- Strong computer experience, including the ability to work effectively with fundraising database systems, MS Office suite, and Teams.
- Ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive issues with confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to occasionally travel domestically throughout the region to fulfill business needs, including but not limited to college and donor-sponsored events.
- Must be available to work nights and weekends as required due to business needs.
- Regular work requires the use of a computer, sometimes over eight (8) hours per day.
