Job Description
Position: Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Are you an experienced and dedicated Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a passion for plastic and reconstructive surgery? Join our esteemed practice where you'll play a key role in providing comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Your Responsibilities:
v
Experience and Certification:
Bring a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, with certification in the respective field.
v
Licensure:
Hold a valid Texas license, with current BLS and ACLS certification.
v
Surgical Expertise:
Assist in surgery, including flap elevation, microsurgical anastomosis, raising skin grafts, retraction, suturing, and more, under the supervision of the Physician.
v
Comprehensive Patient Care:
Provide pre-operative and post-operative counseling, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and plan discharge and follow-up care in collaboration with the supervising Physician.
v
Emergency Response:
Identify when immediate attention is required and initiate emergency medical treatment if needed, communicating findings efficiently.
v
Documentation:
Complete accurate and efficient medical records, progress notes, evaluations, and other documentation as per standards.
v
Hospital Rounding:
Participate in daily hospital rounding with Faculty or independently, triage patient calls outside office hours as needed.
v
Post-Operative Transition:
Ensure a smooth transition for post-operative patients, reporting medical status to the appropriate medical staff.
