The Department is seeking the services of an experienced Project Manager and Scheduler. The Candidate will be required to successfully complete tasks in relation to the Scope of Work defined below:

  • Scope of Work/Job Characteristics:

The Program Manager and Scheduler will serve as the principal line of communication for the project team. The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:

Develop and manage resource-loaded and leveled projects;

Maintain project metrics in accordance with established standards;

Maintain performance metrics;

Maintain highly complex or enterprise-wide program schedules consisting of multiple projects within the Project Management Office (PMO);

Serve as a project schedule liaison with project managers;

Provide progress updates regarding project schedule due dates to the PMO Bureau Chief;

Manage project spend plans;

Manage resource project schedules for associated projects of the PMO;

Maintain all project artifacts in accordance with PMO standards and other documentation as necessary to ensure compliance with Chapter 60GG-1, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.);

Assist in business requirement gathering sessions for Joint Application Development (JADs);

Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and IT software developers to document business requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
  • The Department requires the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:
  • A bachelors or masters degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification;
  • Five (5) or more years managing successful, large-scale projects that include multiple diverse teams;
  • Seven (7) or more years utilizing project software such as Microsoft Project, Planisware, Sciforma, Primavera, Jira, etc., to track and maintain complex projects;
  • Five (5) or more years developing and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules based on work breakdown structures;
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with PMO methodologies and documentation;
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with meeting facilitation and documentation;
  • Five (5) or more years creating and presenting internal and external status reports;
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with risk and issue management
  • Certification in Agile or Scrum-based Project Management;
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management Foundations Certified
  • Experience managing projects with a large, distributed user base
  • Experience developing and managing schedules for multiple projects
  • Experience managing waterfall projects
  • Experience with state government projects is required
  • PMP is required
