Title: Assistant Commercial Account Manager
Compensation Range: $65,000 - $70,000
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
Location: Westlake Village, CA

As the Assistant Commercial Account Manager, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to a designated group of commercial lines clients while working closely with Account Managers to provide innovative solutions. You will act as a trusted partner, facilitating relationships between our firm, insurance carrier representatives, and clients, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.

What You'll Do as an Assistant Commercial Account Manager:
  • Assist with the day-to-day servicing of assigned commercial lines accounts, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Perform technical and administrative tasks, including creating, formatting, and reviewing insurance documentation for carriers, clients, and prospects.
  • Prepare, review, and present Certificates of Insurance, loss history requests, coverage inquiries, Bind Orders, Confirmations of Coverage, and Summaries of Coverage.
  • Support the renewal process for both new and existing accounts.
  • Follow up with carriers for invoices, binders, and policy issuance, ensuring proper documentation is forwarded as needed.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with clients and insurance carrier representatives.
  • Organize and manage a task tracking system for efficient follow-ups and accountability.
What You'll Need to Succeed as Assistant Account Manager:
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid California Property and Casualty License.
  • Strong knowledge of business service functions, insurance terminology, and various lines of commercial insurance.
  • Familiarity with underwriting and rating principles.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role with a strong client-focused approach.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the California insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Experience with office technology, including PCs, printers, scanners, and other standard business equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating tact, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in business practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Positive, professional demeanor with a courteous and supportive approach when interacting with employees, clients, and vendors.

Compensation
$65,000-$70,00 annually, may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the individual and the firm's performance.

Compensation will be determined by several factors including educational background and experience.
