Avery Brewing Co. is actively hiring for our Front of House Team in the brewery's high-volume Restaurant and Tap Room.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of the Avery Brewing Co. Restaurant: "We are dedicated to creating Contagious Loyalists through exceptional service and unbounded hospitality, delivering a world class product each and every time"
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude with all employees and customers
  • Deliver World Class customer service to all guests
  • Educate guests on our beer portfolio, food menu, and brand history
  • Guide guests in selecting Avery beers using beer style and flavor knowledge to suggestively sell based on guest interactions
  • Take orders from guests and enter them into our POS system, Toast
  • Clean and bus tables
  • Work well independently and with a team
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints
  • Attend quarterly staff meetings
  • Availability to work Sundays
  • Stay educated about Avery beer through classes, blind tastings, and self-study
  • Maintain clean glassware through proper wash, rinse, and sanitize techniques
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates professionalism and good judgment
  • Great communication skills
  • Previous experience in craft beer or the service industry
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays is required
  • Safe Alcohol Service Training and Certified Beer Server or Cicerone Server certification is a plus
  • Physically capable of a variety of duties including but not limited to: lifting of 50 pounds or more, extended amounts of standing, stooping, crouching, and climbing, and working outside.

Expectations:
  • Adherence to and modeling of established Avery Brewing Co. policies and procedures
  • Ability to remain solution-focused
  • A strong understanding of the brewing process, draft systems, and beer flavor profiles preferred
  • Ability to work Tuesdays or Sundays required.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $11.40 per hour base rate plus tips. This averages to about $30/ hour.
