VCU HR is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Talent Strategy Senior Recruiter to join the Executive Search Team (EST).. This role is crucial in identifying and securing top-tier executive talent for the university. Working closely with the current recruiting lead, the primary focus will be on managing the end-to-end recruitment process for executive-level positions.

As a pivotal member of our team, the Talent Strategy Senior Recruiter will be instrumental in attracting top talent to VCU. We're seeking an experienced professional who excels in building strong relationships, devising effective recruitment strategies, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities of the Talent Strategy Senior Recruiter includes:
  • Contributing to the development of robust recruitment strategies.
  • Employing innovative sourcing methods to identify and engage top talent.
  • Managing the sourcing database and identifying diverse candidates based on specific job qualifications.
  • Promoting job openings across various social media platforms, professional sites, and job boards.
  • Building and maintaining a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and relationship management.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of resumes, cover letters, and applications.
  • Conducting phone interviews to identify the best-suited candidates for the institution's needs.

Minimum hiring standards:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Prior background in recruitment and human resources
  • Proven capability in identifying and engaging diverse passive talent
  • Proficiency in developing comprehensive recruitment strategies
  • Sound understanding of interview methodologies and effective resume assessment techniques
  • Exceptional interpersonal, decision-making, and communication proficiencies
  • Competence in generating presentations and reports
  • Outstanding time-management, attention-to-detail, critical thinking, and organizational abilities
  • Aptitude for advocating the organization to candidates, projecting a professional image to clients, candidates, and peers
  • Excellent discretion and judgment in managing confidential and sensitive matters
  • Proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office suite, HR databases, and applicant tracking systems
  • Track record of flawless execution and adeptness in multitasking within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering diversity and inclusivity, with a commitment to upholding these values at VCU
Preferred hiring standards:
  • Proficient in executive recruitment and/or executive search procedures
  • Extensive expertise in advanced recruiting methodologies and adept in facilitating at the executive level
Duties:
  • Supports Executive, Senior and hard to fill level searches; passive candidate sourcing/recruiting and candidate management and pipelining
  • Utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter and other sources; serves as co-lead recruiter for searches.
  • Utilizing advanced knowledge of recruitment and search to ensure and execute successful, diverse, robust searches.
  • Supports full life cycle recruitment for executive searches.
  • Leads in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies, including job posting optimization, recruiting marketing channel development, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment marketing, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning, talent planning, etc.
  • Sources, recruits, screens, interviews and recommends candidates for executive positions.
  • Maintains timely and effective communication with internal and external job candidates and regularly inform all non-selected candidates of their status and handles other duties as assigned
  • Completes high level project work including, but not limited to:
    -creation of additional sourcing and pipeline buildout
    -creation of branding and data analysis for ES


Salary Range: $30.00 to $40.00
