Moreover, the EEG Technician (U) assists in the analysis and diagnosis of disorders in the brain and nervous system, such as brain tumors, sleep disorders, strokes, and epilepsy.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms EEG tests as requested by physicians. Reviews patient records and interviews patients to obtain additional information. Prepares patients for procedure by attaching monitoring devices and explaining procedures. Sets up and calibrates necessary equipment. During testing, monitors patient's status and records observations. Analyzes test data to ensure appropriate data is collected.Reports test results to physicians for further analysis. Maintains laboratory equipment, ensures room is clean, and institutes quality control procedures.
