6-month Contract to Hire

Necessary Skills

3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a service-oriented industry.

Strong experience with Month-end Close and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Experience working with a large ERP, Lawson would be preferred.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)

A day in the role

Prepare and post journal entries ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Reconcile various general ledger accounting, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved timely.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Assist with audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries.

Ensure adherence to GAAP and company accounting policies.

Analyze financial data and provide variance explanations.

Maintain and update month-end close checklists and calendars.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Prepare account reconciliations and supporting documentation.

Prepare and maintain accruals and prepaid schedules.

Collaborate with other department to gather and review financial information.

Participate in special projects and system implementation as needed .
