Position Summary

EBI Consulting is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, development and refine supervisory skills, contribute to financial decision-making, and support the company's growth.

This position reports directly to the Controller and will be a hybrid role, with the expectation of three days per week on-site in our Burlington, MA corporate headquarters. Therefore, candidates will need to be geographically close to Burlington, MA and comfortable working in a hybrid environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial statements for monthly reporting to the ownership group Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns Perform fluctuation analysis alongside the Controller on a monthly basis

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Collaborate with FP&A to develop and manage annual budgets Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts for various corporate expenses Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve budgetary control and cost efficiency

General Ledger Management:

Assist the Controller with maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness Review and post staff journal entries Prepare journal entries for various financial transactions

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Assist the Controller with the accounts payable team, as needed Assist the Controller with the accounts receivable team, as needed Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers as necessary

Audit and Compliance:

Assist in the preparation for external audits (ERISA and Year End) Assist the Controller with ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations Provide iterative improvements to the internal control environment

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with the finance team and cross-functional departments to achieve financial objectives Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members, fostering their professional development

Qualifications and Capabilities

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred but not required Proven experience (4+ years) in accounting roles with escalating responsibility Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Strong organizational and time management abilities
