As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines across multiple platforms and managing a data warehouse to support business intelligence and business operations. This role will also assist with defining and implementing their future cloud data architecture and technology solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

Work closely with business stakeholders to gain an understanding of the business and data/reporting needs.

Work with business teams to understand and translate business requirements into functional specifications and logical & physical data model requirements.

Create and update data models to support project requirements.

Build, implement and test data pipelines using SSIS and other data integration tools.

Collaborate with architect and BI team in the design and build of subject-area specific data marts that supports business analytics needs.

Take technical ownership of projects and ensure deliverables meet scope, quality and timelines.

Participate in the assessment of cloud data technologies, and definition of future cloud data architecture through working on proof of concepts.

Assist with information access and secure management of data.

Perform optimization of data warehouse queries.

Manage and optimize daily data warehouse refresh schedules and perform other administrative tasks for efficient operation of the data warehouse.

Support development of business intelligence reports and dashboards.

Self-starter with the ability to define clear objectives, collect appropriate information, and develop action plans.

Observe the highest level of confidentiality and a data security first approach to all development activity.

Promotes honest and open communication throughout the credit union.

Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit unions values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.

Perform other duties as assigned.
