Registered Nurses (RN) Position Details:

Type: 20 or 8 weeks contract

Shift Start Time: Night 4x12-Hours

Location: Seattle, WA

As a Registered Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

  • Provide compassionate and specialized care to oncology patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other medications following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor patients closely for any signs of adverse reactions to treatment and provide immediate interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, hematologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Educate patients and their families about cancer, treatment options, potential side effects, and symptom management.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, document conditions, and report any significant changes in the patient's condition to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in research activities, including clinical trials, and assist with the coordination of innovative therapies such as CAR-T cell therapy and Stem Cell Transplantation.
  • Provide care to patients with a wide range of oncological conditions, including but not limited to Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma (MM), and various solid tumors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an RN, with a preference for experience in oncology nursing.
  • Active Washington State RN License.
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Two professional references are required. Charge RNs are accepted.
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to work well in a fast-paced Hospital environment.
  • Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test.
  • Experience with a diverse range of medical-surgical oncology patients, including those with Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma (MM), and other oncological conditions.
  • Familiarity with research activities, including involvement in clinical trials, CAR-T cell therapy, and Stem Cell Transplantation.
  • Experience in Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT), General Oncology, and Hematology/Oncology.
  • Competency in performing and assisting with various medical procedures, including Chest Tube Set-up/Care, CPAP/BiPAP, Procedure Sedation, Trach Care, Blood/Blood Products Administration, Cooling/Warming Blanket, Drains, Feeding Tubes, Fistula Management, PCA Pumps, PICC/Central Lines, Port-A-Cath/Vascular Device Access/Care, Syringe Pumps, and Wound Vac.
  • Proficiency in medication administration, including Heparin, Insulin, and Lasix.
