How you make a difference:

As a Fire and Safety Manager, you'll play a crucial role in managing and coordinating site electronic locking systems, door access controls, and other high-security equipment under the direction of the Director of Security. Your expertise in the intricate functionality of internal designs will ensure the effective operation of these systems, maintaining a safe and secure environment for all occupants. You'll collaborate closely with the security team to implement and maintain fire and safety protocols, contributing to the overall security infrastructure of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate servicing and maintenance of locking systems, door access controls, and related high-security equipment, ensuring immediate attention to any issues.
  • Oversee policy compliance and accountability through regular reviews and updates of procedures, while also assisting in investigations of policy violations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and repairs of CCTV surveillance systems and security alarms, promptly reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of safety and security equipment, including mechanical restraints, tools, and emergency response gear.
  • Perform special projects and provide oversight for handheld radio maintenance, new hire orientations, and other duties as directed by the Director of Security.


Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • High school Diploma

Experience

  • (5) Years of experience working in high security detention operations. Background working with locking systems and other electronic security systems

Licenses/Certifications

  • Advanced Locksmith for Corrections
