As the newly appointed Associate Director of Analytics at a leading market research firm, you will spearhead efforts to enhance marketing effectiveness. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in data analysis, computer vision, and applied science to conduct groundbreaking research. Your work will focus on converting complex insights into practical, impactful marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define research objectives that address core business challenges and map to measurable KPIs.
  • Design and execute robust research initiatives (qualitative and quantitative) leveraging advanced analytical techniques (hypothesis testing, regression modeling, clustering, computer vision, etc.) to uncover actionable audience and market insights.
  • Transform complex data into impactful client narratives, using compelling visualizations to highlight strategic recommendations for campaign optimization and future innovation.
  • Demonstrate a client-centric approach, translating insights into actionable recommendations that drive measurable improvements in marketing outcomes.
  • Champion data-driven storytelling across the organization, empowering internal teams to leverage insights effectively in decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and a culture of continuous improvement within the analytics practice.
  • Identify new business opportunities, actively participating in pitches and proposals to expand the company's client base.
  • Oversee process improvement for research design and data analysis, ensuring efficiency and quality of deliverables
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge analytical products and services, integrating AI/ML techniques and remaining at the forefront of industry trends.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders and translate analysis into actionable business recommendations.
  • At least 7 years of experience in an analytical marketing role, with a preference for backgrounds in market research, marketing analytics, data science, computer vision, or applied sciences.
  • Degree in an applied quantitative field, social science, psychology, communication, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and at least one other open-source programming language like SQL or R.
  • Experience using advanced analytical techniques like regression, clustering, random forest or deep learning.Demonstrated expertise in survey design and complex data analysis, ensuring research integrity and actionable insights.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) methodologies is highly desirable.
  • A knack for presenting complicated data in a way that highlights trends and empowers stakeholders to drive marketing strategy decisions.

You Will Stand Out If

  • Fluency in other Languages: Especially Spanish, German, French, or Japanese.
  • Demonstrable expertise in statistical techniques and/or programming languages such as R and Python.
  • Experience assessing and using social analytics tools.Experience with statistical modeling tools (e.g., SPSS, Stata) and data management platforms.
