Quality Manager:

Job Purpose: To direct and administer all Regulatory Affairs, permits, filings and training including Global Compliance. Develop, implement and coordinate activities of quality functions to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. Formulate and administer organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

Essential Functions: 1. Analyzes, evaluates and presents information concerning factors such as production capabilities, manufacturing problems, trends and design and development of new products for consideration by members of management team.

2. Suggests alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.

3. Investigates and compiles reports on non-conformances providing solid root cause and preventative actions.

4. Supports top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals with respect to Quality and labs.

5. Develops initial and subsequent modifications of programs within the quality groups to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements and operations procedures within program.

6. Conducts meetings to establish, delineate and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attainting quality objectives.

7. Visits and/or confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders and vendor quality standards.

8. Confers with manufacturing/sales/management about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products on market to rectify problems.

9. Reviews technical publications, articles and abstracts to stay abreast of technical and regulatory developments in industry.

10. Maintains standards and verifies policies for quality control.

11. Maintains knowledge of current government and industry quality standards including but not limited to FDA, ISO, global standards, etc.

12. Responsible for all government reporting and filings regarding the facility or for permit renewals.

13. Directly supervises Production Quality staff including Fill and Assembly Quality Specialists and employees within these departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

14. Maintains all records related to jobs, reworks, customer complaints, corrective action plans, preventive actions and legal retains.

15. Manages all aspects of Quality

Details:

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, permits, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply SPC and SQC techniques to operations as required.

Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software. #J-18808-Ljbffr
